About Mouse

Mouse is a qualified yoga, mindfulness, meditation & pre/post natal yoga teacher.

Ultimately her passion for sharing yoga is with children and teenagers. She guides, provides and supports them through fun, educational and carefully curated classes to reflect their mindset and physical needs.

Mouse is also deeply passionate about sharing her love for cooking with a focus on vibrant, healthy nutrition. She works with a number of private clients and has traveled the world for short-term culinary jobs. One of her greatest joys is teaching children the importance of proper nutrition. Her motto is simple but powerful:
"You have to nourish to flourish!"

+++

Alongside yoga Mouse has worked for over thirteen years as a PE teacher in both the independent and state school sectors in London and abroad. This included time spent as Head of Sport at two top Central London schools. Therefore her knowledge of children's behaviours, abilities and mental health are highly accredited.

During the pandemic, Mouse has up-skilled and trained as a Yoga and Life Coach obtaining her level 1 ICF accreditation. This type of ‘coach’ training is directed to support from a holistic angle using key yogic practices to support the actual ‘life coaching’ technique and principles. She now coaches adults to understand their core values, identity and purpose through talk, breath work and guided meditation.

As well as creating her own 'Teen Mentorship Programme', using the ‘Life Coach’ methods and her experience of directly working with teens; she offers a safe space for teens, young adults and children to be heard, guided and supported through exam pressure, Y6 sports scholarships, personal worries. Whilst inspiring them to lead active and balanced lives through exercise, nutrition a growth mindset attitude.

When she is living and working in London she shares her 'yoga toolbox' with a variety of schools and kindergartens; as well as private classes, to help develop and encourage children and teens to build their mental and physical strength, as well as self-confidence, worth and inner happiness. London is a city of busyness and for so many reasons can be over whelming and therefore her 'toolbox' became very useful in helping children unwind and manage the sensory overload of city life.

With a colourful childhood living all over the world, Mouse loves nothing more than meeting new people, immersing herself in new cultures and sharing her practice with people from all walks and stages of life.

Mouse currently works with nurseries to deliver fun, engaging and explorative yoga classes with children in the EYFS stages (2-5yrs) of their education. Starting at the ages of 2 years old, her classes enable children to develop both fine and gross motor skills, balance, coordination, friendships and confidence. Within her sessions, children will be taken on a story-based adventure where Mouse likes to incorporate other aspects of the EYFS education, as well as teaching children about their bodies work.

Primary School Yoga

Classes from Y1-8 focus on continuing the development of motor skills, balance, coordination, self-awareness, while also expanding their knowledge of their body and the wider world around them. Sessions are typically delivered in a school club setting or private home, where the three main focal points are based around fun, flexibility and focus.

Teen Yoga

Mouse focuses a lot of her teaching work with pre-teens and teenagers, helping relieve schoolwork and exam anxiety through the physical practice of yoga. Mouse also emphasises educating teens on the importance of movement, balanced nutrition and good sleep hygiene as well as other aspects of healthy life; in order to aid their wider emotional and social wellbeing. Which in turn improves learning capabilities. Mouse also works with pre-teens and teenagers with a range of different special educational needs, tailoring her classes to their specific requirements.

Adult Yoga

In addition to her dedication to teaching children, Mouse is passionate about sharing her practice with adults of all ages, backgrounds, and levels of yoga experience. She particularly enjoys guiding beginners on their yoga journey through her restorative, yin, and vinyasa flow classes, where she thoughtfully blends various elements to create the ideal session for restoration, rejuvenation, and reset. Her most impactful work, however, lies in supporting school staff and teachers. As an educator herself, she understands the unique needs of teachers and school staff to find peace and balance, nurturing their well-being while feeling understood and supported in their work environment.
